Hi,
Can anyone advise me of an application software that will edit movies after
recording to the HDD thru a TV tuner.
Most of the trial version programs that are available for download will edit
the start and finish but not in the middle of the movie. (commericals etc).
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Trevor,

I had tried 'Ulead Video Studio', 'Power Director' and 'Pinnacle's Studio
9'. All of them had the capabily to split and merge video clips -- in
another word cut and join. And they should all do the job for you.

You should try VideoRedo Plus (www.videoredo.com/) I use it for almost
everything I need to do with my MPEG-2 downloads from the Digital
Terrestrial Channels. It is perfect. It will cut, trim, split, join, remove
unwanted bits and repair files. But it may not do .avi files yet.

Hi,

Along these lines, I'm looking for software that will effectively and
accurately allow me to merge video with audio tracks (in this case an
orchestra concert with the high quality orchestra audio).

I've tried PowerDirector5, but was very sadly disappointed by its ability to
maintain a good time reference from one end of a video track to the other,
thus making it impossible to position audio tracks in sequence and have them
stay sychronized with the video.

[Also, and as a result, I don't recommend anything that might come from the
toptenreviews website.]

If anyone has ideas (or can just send me the FAQ, since I suspect this is
not a new Q), I would be most grateful.

Regards,
Jim

Jim,

I do that with pinnacle studio.
Adjust the videospeed (slide the end of the video track while in speed
menu).
You cal adjust to the milisecs if you want.

Jan
