Hello,
I'm running Avid XPress Pro 4.6 on my laptop. I was checking for any
upgrade on the Avid web site and entered my first name, last name and the
System ID, and the next page said "Congratulations! You are eligible to
receive the Avid Xpress Pro HD 5.2.4 software, which includes performance
improvements, bug fixes and enhancements. A complete set of installation
instructions along with a detailed list of these fixes and enhancements is
included with the download." It even said, at the bottom of the page, that
"After installation of the software, you DO NOT need to re-register your
system."
So, I downloaded Avid XPress Pro HD 5.2.4 and installed it. During the
installation process, it removed my existing Avid XPress Pro 4.6. After the
installation, when I tried to run the Avid XPress Pro HD 5.2.4, it would not
open and asked me to contact the Avid Customer Service because I do not have
the new license key!
If I am told on the Avid web site that I am eligible for the Avid XPress Pro
HD 5.2.4 upgrade, then why did I not automatically receive the new license
code by email immediately? I am not very impressed with that and even feel
that it is very unfriendly and impolite!
I will appreciate if you could kindly advise me on how to get my upgrade
running.
I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Regards,
JB
